Hello — I'm Marge Whitfield.
I'm 68. I spent thirty years as a physiotherapy assistant, helping people get back on their feet. Then I retired — and realised that everything I'd been telling my patients for three decades, I now needed to live myself.

Why I started writing all of this down
When I retired, everyone told me to take it easy. I took that advice for about three weeks. By week four my knees were stiff, my sleep was patchy and I was bored out of my mind.
So I started small. A short walk. A stretch routine I could do while the kettle boiled. A proper breakfast instead of a biscuit. Nothing heroic — just consistent, and kind to myself on the days it didn't happen.
Eight years later I hike the coast path most weekends, I cook more adventurously than I did at forty, and I feel genuinely good. That's all this site is: the honest version of what worked, written down so you can borrow it.
“Health isn't a destination; it's the energy we bring to the journey.”
A week in my life — nothing staged

Twenty minutes on the deck before breakfast. That's the whole trick.

If it doesn't look like a rainbow, I add something until it does.

Ten quiet minutes with a cup of tea beats an hour of worrying.

The YouTube channel
I've set up Senior Health & Vitality on YouTube and I'm filming the first videos now — gentle workouts you can do in a chair, quick colourful meals, and honest chats about getting older well. No posts yet, but the kettle is on.
